Business Analyst (Data & Analytics)
Business analyst
Mission.
Our client’s Data & Analytics team turns business needs into trusted data and insights across four streams:
- Business Requirements & Process Analysis
- Metric & Data Definitions
- Reporting & Self-Service Analytics
- Data Quality & Governance
Your role:
- Gather and analyse business needs from stakeholders and translate them into clear functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Define metrics, KPIs and business rules, and document them in a shared business glossary and data catalogue.
- Specify data models and reporting needs together with data engineers, and validate the results with the business.
- Build and maintain dashboards and management reports in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools, and enable self-service analytics.
- Run data quality checks and user acceptance tests, and follow up on issues until they are resolved.
- Support governance forums and cross-functional projects, preparing reports, presentations and management packs.
- Coach business users on data literacy and on the use of certified datasets.
Required profile.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, information systems or data analytics.
- 3+ years as a Business Analyst, BI analyst or data analyst, ideally in financial services.
- Advanced SQL and strong understanding of data modelling; experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
- Knowledge of data quality, metadata and governance; Collibra or similar is a plus.
- Experience with agile delivery and cross-functional programmes.
- Fluent in English, with Dutch or French.
